Frequently Asked Questions
What forms of payment do you accept? We accept Discover, Master Card, Visa and American Express. You may also make payment using PayPal.
Due to the custom nature of your order - your credit card will be charged prior to the start of production on your order. PayPal payments are processed by PayPal upon placement of order. Please be sure to enter you credit card billing address in the billing information screen.
What if I am not comfortable entering my credit card information online? Credit Card orders on our site are processed on a secure server. Your credit card information is encrypted using 128 bit SSL protocol. If you prefer, you can still order online but send your credit card information in one of these ways:
1. Call Me. Place your order online. When prompted for a payment method, select "Call Me" and click continue. Verify your order details and submit order to us by clicking Process Order button. You will receive an email confirmation and we will call you for your credit card information within 24 hours.
2. Fax. Place your order online. When prompted for a payment method, select "Fax" and click continue. Verify your order details and submit order to us by clicking Process Order button. Print out your order. Write your credit card information including expiration date on the form and fax to us at 248-628-6126.
3. Order by Phone. Instead of placing your order online, jot down the items and personalization information for the items you want to order then call us at 248-628-4107 and we will be happy to take your order over the phone.
Do you charge sales tax on orders? We are requred to collect sales tax on orders shipped to the state of Michigan. Current Michigan sales tax rate is 6%. No sales tax will be charged for orders shipped to all other states.
Can I cancel my order? Orders must be cancelled within 24 hours of order placement. After 24 hours, orders cannot be cancelled as production will already have begun on your custom gift order.
How long will it take to receive my order? Normal production time is 7 to 10 days. That does not include the shipping time to your location (see question about shipping for approximate shipping times).
What if I need my gift item sooner than your stated production/delivery times? Sometimes we are able to accomodate a special request for a shorter production time (may depend on time of year). Please email us
if you need your order in a hurry. You can also request FedEx overnight delivery at checkout which will shorten delivery time but add to your cost.
How do I order more than one of the same item but with different personalization details? Make all of your personalization selections on the item, enter 1 for Quantity and click Add to Cart, then click continue shopping and order the item again with the new personalization details.

What countries will you ship to? At this time we will only ship to addresses in the United States.
What shipping options do you offer and what are the ship times? You may choose from the following shipping options during the checkout process. Shipping and handling charges are automatically calculated based on the total weight of your order and the shipping destination you enter for order delivery. All orders are shipped FOB Oxford, Michigan within 7-10 days of order placement. Shipping time varies depending on your distance from our location.
FedEx Ground/Home Delivery - transit time 1-5 business days (up to 7 days to Hawaii and Alaska). Please note: FedEx will not ship to PO Boxes.
USPS First Class - transit time 1-3 days. Available only on shipments weighing 13 ounces or less.
USPS Priority Mail - transit time 1-3 days. May be used for shipments to PO Boxes.
USPS Parcel Post - transit time 2-9 days. May be used for shipment to PO Boxes.
FedEx 2nd Day - 2 business days.
FedEx Overnight - by 3:00 pm the next business day.
Beacon Embroidery assumes no liability for orders shipped to an incomplete or incorrect shipping address provided by the customer. Any additional shipping charges for such orders will be the responsibility of the customer and will be charged to the credit card used for the order.
Can I ship to a different address than my billing address Yes, during the checkout process you will be given the opportunity to enter a different ship to address. Please be sure, however, that the address entered for your billing address is the same as your credit card billing address.
How do I save/retrieve my cart On the shopping cart page - click Save Cart. You will be asked to enter your email address, a destination email address (can also be your email address), and a message. An email will be sent to both email addresses with a link back to your cart.
